Winter Camp 2009 at Camp Tiak is rapidly approaching. This years' Winter camp will be held from December 27-31, 2009. Winter Camp is an excellent opportunity for Scouts who want to earn Eagle to get a great head start on the Eagle trail. Sixteen merit badges including all 3 citizenship merit badges, Communications, Personal Management, and Emergency Preparedness are offered. In addition, great elective merit badges such as Astronomy, Engineering, and Genealogy and others are also being offered. We will also offer the Mississippi Hunter Safety course to the first 30 Scouts who choose this opportunity. Great fellowship, food, and fun are some of the traditions of Winter Camp. Make your plans to attend today. Registration deadline is December 15, 2009. 2010 BSA National Jamboree |

The 2010 Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree will be held July 26th through August 4, 2010. The Pine Burr Area Council has three Jamboree Troops with room for 36 Scouts in each troop. Scouts eligible for the National Jamboree must be 12 years old by July 1st, 2010 and be at least First Class rank. Scouts can not be older than 18 on August 4, 2010. |
